PHPA is NOT a training school. We do not conduct commercial paragliding courses, training sessions, or tandem joyrides for beginners. Our primary responsibility is the governance, safety audit, and promotion of non-motorized free flight.
We coordinate directly with domestic flying clubs, inspect independent instructors, and maintain the national pilot database. We verify logbooks and issue official ratings (P1 to P5 license tiers) to pilots to ensure safety compliance and international qualification.
We audit independent flight logbooks to verify launch hours, glider models, and landing reports before issuing ratings.
We liaise with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and security forces to open adventure flying corridors.
Our executive board members oversee the regulatory protocols, administrative approvals, and legal frameworks of the association.
President
Oversees administrative clearances, government liaison, new flying corridor approvals, and international representation.
Secretary General
Manages pilot database registrations, logbook evaluations, club certifications, events coordination, and memberships.
Director Legal Affairs
Directs legal compliance, SECP reporting, insurance mandates, risk liability waivers, and regulatory policies.
All pilots launching from PHPA-surveyed sites must adhere to the following regulations:
Pilots are strictly required to verify mountain weather forecasts and localized wind vectors before deployment. Launching in gusty conditions, strong crosswinds, or thermic cycles exceeding safe speed thresholds is strictly prohibited.
Gliders must undergo annual professional porosity and line strength audits. Emergency reserve parachutes must be repacked every six months by certified reserve packers before launching from any approved ridge in Pakistan.
Pilots must strictly fly within the defined geographic corridors. Soaring over military garrisons, nuclear facilities, high-security border corridors, or active civil airports is illegal and will result in immediate license revocation.
