June 10, 2026 Secretary General
National Paragliding Accuracy Championship 2026

The Pakistan Hang Gliding & Paragliding Association (PHPA) is proud to officially announce the registration opening for the 2026 National Paragliding Accuracy Championship. The event is scheduled to take place from October 12 to 16, 2026 at the world-renowned flying ridge of Pir Chinasi, Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir.

This tournament will gather elite pilots from across Pakistan and visiting international competitors to test their precision flight capabilities. The competition is FAI-compliant, and scores will count toward national ranking indexes. Pilots will take off from the 9,500 ft launch site and must land within a target landing zone situated in Muzaffarabad Valley. The landing target comprises a circular grid with a 10cm electronic dead center plate measuring touchdown accuracy to the nearest centimeter.

Important Registration & Eligibility Rules

Due to the technical alpine nature of the launch site and landing parameters, registration is restricted to qualified pilots holding a minimum of a **P2 Novice Rating** with verified solo experience. Key prerequisites include:

  • Submission of a verified logbook showing at least 15 mountain launches within the last 6 months.
  • Valid PHPA membership card and pilot license credentials.
  • Certified flight equipment conforming to safety check sheets (porosity and line audits).
  • Registration fee of PKR 5,000 (reinvested in emergency medical standby services and pilot logistics).
Safety Briefing: A mandatory safety and weather briefing will be conducted at the headquarters tent on October 11 at 4:00 PM PKT. Attendance is compulsory for all registered competitors.

Spectators are welcome to view the flight lines from designated valley landing zones. Safe parking and tourist zones have been cleared in coordination with the Muzaffarabad District Administration.
